Agsa SRL (Hellene reformed: Αγςά) is a Gylian financial services company.

Established by Agathe Sanna in 1992, Agsa is the largest company on the GLX. It has a central role in the private sector of the Gylian economy, being the principal private partner for the National Capital Investment Board in directing capital, and the largest and most prolific investor in Gylias.

History

Agsa was established by Agathe Sanna in 1992. It was initially registered as an ENP vehicle for her work as a stock trader. As she became successful, she hired more partners and re-registered it as a SNC, then lastly as a SRL.

Agathe gained fame for her talent and sound judgement in the financial sector, and was invited to participate in the Social Partnership Program. Agsa became a private partner for the NCIB, helping it grow to become the largest financial services company in Gylias.

Activity

Agsa carries out a variety of investment management services, including private equity, venture capital, collective investment, and advice.

Agsa controls a vast portfolio, owning shares and investing in every Gylian company. The Financial Monitor describes it as "the nerve centre of the financial sector". As a partner for the NCIB, it helps direct investment capital in the Gylian economy, using its portfolio and reputation to influence allocation of investment.

Agsa serves as a conduit for financial services in the private sector, and as an intermediary between the public and private sectors. It provides advice and follows instructions from the NCIB and NCC in directing capital.

Agsa serves as an unofficial authority of the private sector, undertaking self-regulation responsibilities. Receiving investment or stock purchases from Agsa is a significant "rite of passage" for new companies, and cessation of investment or sell-off of stock is calamitous for a company's reputation. Agsa uses its clout to enforce socially responsible investing and humanistic management practices throughout the economy, and to publically name and shame companies engaged in illegal, anti-social, or exploitative practices.

Organisation

Agsa is a SRL. It is the largest company on the GLX, but shares are only transferable outside the company with the agreement of shareholders. Every employee owns shares in the company, and the company is run through workers' self-management.

Management is carried out by the 10-member Management Board, supervised by the 20-member Supervisory Board. Both boards are elected annually. Founder Agathe Sanna is the CEO, winning repeated re-election since the company's establishment.

Agsa's headquarters are in Argyrokastron, Elena, and it has branches in every region.
