The ShPP-40 (Shukhov pistolet-pulemyot; Volgodish: Шухов Пистолет-пулемёт; "Shukhov machine pistol") is an Imperial submachine gun designed by Dmitri Shukhov in response to the Balambian Kpist/-31 and the M1928 Theimer. Common nickname is "papasha" (Volgodish: папаша), meaning "daddy".

The ShPP is a magazine-fed selective fire submachine gun using an open bolt, blowback action. Made largely of stamped steel, it can be loaded with either a box or drum magazine and fires the 7.62×25mm Tokarev pistol round.

The PPSh saw extensive combat use during the Second Europan War and War of Lorican Aggression. It was deemed for use by Imperial Assault troops whilst its existing SMG, the EMP-40 was delegated to officers and use by small independent units. It was one of the major infantry weapons of the Grand Imperial Army during the Second Europan War. Around six million ShPP-41s were manufactured.
