The Scanonian Defense Forces (Scanonian: Försvarsmakten) is the principal Scanonian government agency that forms the military force of Scanonia. It is tasked with national defense, humanitarian aid, international deployment as part of the peacekeeping force and search and rescue in times of natural disasters. The Scanonian Defense Forces consist of Army (78,500), Air Force (36,500) and the military reserve force, the Home Guard (25,000) under command of the Supreme Commander of the Scanonian Defense Forces, who in turn answers to the Government of Scanonia through the Ministry of Defense.
