History
Awarding and eligibility
Though is is generally a peacetime award given to staff officers of O-6 rank or above. The Superior Service Award can be awarded during both peacetime as well as during a declared conflict or emergency.
The Superior Service Award can be award more than once to the same recipient. If an individual receives more than one Superior Service Award then the ribbon would display the appropriate amount of Rosetón devices.
