The Aisling Defense Force Distinguished Service Award can be awarded during both peacetime as well as during a declared conflict or emergency.
The Aisling Defense Force Distinguished Service Award can be award more than once to the same recipient. If an individual receives more than one Armed Forces Distinguished Service Award then the ribbon would display a Rosetón device.
