The Latium men's national ice hockey team is the ice hockey team representing Latium internationally. The team is organized and governed by Hockey Latium, the national governing body that is a member of the Ajaxi Ice Hockey Association. The team is nicknamed Purpurae (The Purples) by fans, and is regularly called Aquila aurei (Golden Eagles) due to the emblem of House of Claudius on the team's jersey. The current head coach is Michael Tutor of LMH's Utica Internationalis. As of 2018, Latium has 344,165 (0.05% of the population) registered ice hockey players.
Tournament record
AIHA Worlds
The Latin national team first competed in the 1920 AHIA World Tournament in Ghish, Ghant, finishing in Xth place. Since, it has participated in 45 of the 48 tournaments, and hosted on four occasions (1934, 1964, 1976, 2006). It is among one of the most successful national teams since 2000, with seven top three finishes.

Nations Cup
In the Nations Cup, Latium participates against the nations of the North Ottonia, South Ottonia, Ghant, Gelonia, Garima, Sudmark, and an invitee in an elimination style tournament. The tournament began in 1991, and is held in alternating years with the AIHA World Tournament.
