History
The Effendi legal dynasty can be traced to Chief Qadi Mehmet Ibn Suleiman Effendi I. Born in 1912, he became a Sharifistani Qadi (judge) in 1952 and then became the Chief Qadi of Sharifistan in 1972. His son Qadi Suleiman Ibn Mehmet Effendi entered the legal profession and became a Qadi just like his father in 1982. Chief Qadi Mehmet Ibn Suleiman Effendi II became Chief Qadi of Sharifistan in 1922.
Marriage ties
The Effendis are connected by marriage to the Khan dynasty of Sharifistan.
