Early life

Born into the Effendi legal dynasty, the son of Qadi Suleiman Ibn Mehmet Effendi I and Aisha Bint Ali Khan, Mehmet attended a private primary school in Madinat Al-Islam before studying at the at the Sharifistani School of Fencing.

Education

After receiving 4 Advanced Levels in the Sharifistani School of Fencing, Mehmet Ibn Suleiman Effendi II went to the University of Madinah to study Islamic Law, leaving with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and a qualification as a Mufti.

Military service

After becoming a Doctorate of Islamic Jurisprudence Mehmet Ibn Suleiman Effendi II took his two year Advocates' Course and did his military service as a Legal Officer with the Royal Legal Corps in 1988, serving until 1991 and attaining the rank of Captain.

later legal career

He served for 14 years as an advocate (plus his military career). He spent four years as a defence lawyer and the other four years as a prosecutor in order to gain an unbiased perspective of criminal law. He was appointed as a Judge in a Muslim Personal Law Court in 2005, being appointed to the Pashtunistan City High Court in 2010 and the Madinat Al-Islam High Court in 2015.


Personal life

Chief Qadi Mehmet Ibn Suleiman Effendi II has three wives and two children (a young adult son and a teenage minor daughter). His son Suleiman Ibn Mehmet Effendi II, is currently training as an intelligence soldier in the Anti-Narcotics Police Command whilst his daughter is a refugee in Hür Turkestan.
