The Cacertian Royal Air Fleet (CRAF) is the aerial warfare service branch of the Cacertian Armed Forces. It is the youngest branch of Cacerta's military and was officially founded on 26 June 1912. The basis of the early Royal Air Fleet primarily included rigid-airships and biplanes. In it's original form, the mission of the Cacertian Royal Air Fleet was to provide aerial support and dominance of operational air space over units of the Royal Army and Royal Navy. Today the Air Fleet serves a mixed defensive and offensive support role, the modern mission of air superiority and interdiction falls to the Air Force sub-branch of the Air Fleet.
The Royal Air Fleet is considered the brainchild of Empress Elliana Sarissita-Trento and has remained under the command of House Sarissita since its founding. The current Air Fleet Commander is Olivia Sarissita, younger sister of King Agostino Trento and aunt to Queen Anelyn I.
