Template:Aquitayne Politics Aquitayne has a multi-party system with a broad ideological spectrum representing modern liberalism, environmentalism, republicanism, isolationism, and strong conservatism. The Magnus Magnatus is usually contended by the two major parties: the Royalist Party and the People's Party. Usually, however, a coalition is necessary to secure majorities in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords. Currently, the Royalist Party is in coalition with the Environmentalists to give them a slim majority in the House of Lords.

There are currently 784 seats available in the House of Commons, with one representative being elected from each respective district. There are currently 436 serving members of the House of Lords, who are chosen by their peers and must be of noble birth.
