Akram Sulaiman is an Emmirian statesman and politician who currently serves as the 31st President of Emmiria. He was also a lawyer, academic, former diplomat and Islamic cleric. Prior to holding office, he was the Trade and Commerce Minister of Emmiria from 2016 to 2021 and the Secretary General of the M.P.P. from 2013 to 2016. He succeeded Khayahad al-Azari upon his resignation of the Presidency. In domestic policy, he encourages personal freedom and free access to information, has improved women's rights by appointing female foreign ministry spokespeople, and has been described as a centrist and reformist who has improved Emmiria's diplomatic relations with other countries.
Since assuming office, Sulaiman has been lauded for successes in greater economic cooperation with Timeria and Durnstaal, as well as brokered historic agreements with the Slavic Union and Kossmil. He has taken criticism for his handling of crises in Southern Adula.
