Południowy corridor

The Południowy corridor (Lemovician: Hegoaldeko koŕidoreja, Miersan: Korytarz Południowy), also known as the Southern corridor, is a corridor connecting the voivodeship of Malomiersa with the voivodeship of Nadjeziorze which is traditionally situated in the voivodeship of Zanawiwasie.

Named after the geographic position of the corridor in 1979 as part of military objectives in the opening stages of the Miersan War, the name was chosen as it was home to Checkpoint Gamma on the Miersan DMZ, which was the southernmost of three checkpoints along the then-border between East Miersa and West Miersa. However, with the secession of Malomiersa as the State of Lemovicia, and thus, the start of the Lemovician War, the Południowy corridor became important, as it is the shortest connection between Lemovicia and East Miersa. After the end of the Miersan War in 1982, Lemovicia would occupy the corridor in 1983, setting up the Corridor Security Zone to protect the corridor from West Miersan attack.
