The Landstadt building is the headquarters building for the Delamarian Department of Defence and the Delamarian Armed Forces, as well as the Commonwealth Guard, Office of Naval Intelligence, and the Delamarian Space Program. The building began construction in 1950, as a new headquarters for the War, Energy and Infrastructure Departments, however the War Department would be later split up, and reorganised into the Defence Department, and the Energy and Infrastructure Departments moved to inner Labrador.
The building was constructed during the First Argic War, as a response to a congressional committee findings that stated that the branches of the armed forces lacked communication, and their distant headquarters did little to get them to work in a unified fashion. Therefore President Charleston decided to begin the construction of a new building in 1950. At the time it was one of the largest construction projects in the wurld, and remains one of the wurld's largest office buildings.
