The Flag of Txotai is the regional flag of the Txotai Autonomous Republic (Txotai AR) of the People's Republic of Namor. It was adopted in NMR 2355 when Txotai became an autonomous republic as a result of the NMR 2355 Txotai status referendum.
The design of the flag is a horizontal bi-color of green and blue, with a with isosceles triangle at the hoist bearing a yellow star in its center. The green represents the fertility of the Namorese land, symbolizing the region's "unbreakable ties" with the Namorese nation. The blue symbolizes the water of the Haddock Sea, which Txotai borders in its north. The white represents snow, symbolizing the region's wintry climate. The yellow star is a symbol of ethnic unity.
In formal events, the Txotai flag is flown alongside the Namorese flag. Namorese law requires that the flag must be hoisted to a flagpole that is at least five meters shorter than the flagpole that flies the Namorese flag. This applies to all regional flags that exist in the country. There are rules to when the flag can be flown alone and when the flag must be flown with the national flag. In a flag-raising ceremony, both the Txotai and national flags are raised at the same time, but the national anthem is played throughout the entire process instead of the regional anthem.
The flag of Txotai is rejected by Otekian nationalists and supporters of Otekian independence, who fly the Flag of Oteki, regarding it as the legitimate flag of Oteki (Txotai).

c. 1950s - present | The Christian flag is commonly used by militant groups committed to Otekian independence that sympathize with Christian fundamentalism. It was the flag of the Knights of Saint Luther, once regarded as the most powerful Otekian militant group until it eventually diminished in numbers and strength. The flag is still used by Christian fundamentalist supporters in the government-of-exile and is flown alongside the Otekian flag (see above) in pro-independence rallies. This flag is also banned in Namor. |
