Donald Smith Cassidy II (16 April 2002) is a Gallian-Lucian officer serving as a member of Task Force 141.
Donald carries the name of his grandfather, EWII and WoLA veteran Donald S. Cassidy. Much like his grandfather and father, he is deeply interested in military life and hoped to be a career officer like his father and grandfather. But upon meeting his great-grandfather, Yukio Kushineda Jr., he sealed his dream of becoming a military officer. As a boy, he found himself interested in listening to his great-grandfather's stories. He would also meet her great-grandaunt, Tsukuyo Kushienda, from which he would learn of his great-grandfather's exploits after his passing in 2009. When his family moved to Lucis in 2012, his family became largely close with the Kushienda and Sugiyama families due to his grandmother, Erina Kushineda wishing to be with his father's family. Following his graduation, he would find himself serving under his cousin's unit, the Long Range Reconnaissance Group under Yukio Kushineda V. He also became close with his aunt, Rikka Kushienda.
