The contemporary history of the Blackhelm Confederacy refers to the period from the Paradise Accords in 1997 to the present day. The Blackhelm Confederacy, after the signing of the Paradise Accords, become the legal successor state to the Empire of Exponent, ending a brief period of turmoil that existed across Hesperidesia known as The Splintering.

Prior to the Paradise Accords, Lucius Blackhelm unified Paradise City and Redemption before courting the city-state of Divinity to form the backbone of the modern Blackhelm Confederate state. The triumvirate then rapidly spread out across the western portion of Hesperidesia before being contained by the terms of the Katovice Conference.
