Frumentarii
The primary counter intelligence group of the Confederacy, frumentarii operatives are found throughout all levels of society. They blend into their surroundings almost seemlessly throughout the country, listening and acting to protect their homeland from foreign intelligence agents as well as terror plots on their soil.
The Minister of the Frumentarii is Gilda Lockheart, the first woman to hold the position in Hesperidesian history.
Counterintelligence Mission
The Frumentarii's primary mission is to protect the Blackhelm Confederacy from espionage, sabotage, and other acts of subversion perpetrated by foreign intelligence agencies. They are responsible for identifying and neutralizing individuals or groups engaged in activities that threaten national security. Additionally, the Frumentarii actively work to prevent and disrupt terror plots on Confederacy soil, employing intelligence-gathering techniques and employing proactive measures to maintain the safety and well-being of the nation and its citizens.
Infiltration and Covert Operations
Frumentarii operatives are highly skilled in the art of blending into various social, cultural, and professional environments. They operate undercover, assuming false identities and infiltrating target organizations, communities, or groups. This allows them to gain valuable insights into potential threats and gather intelligence covertly. By operating seamlessly within the country, the Frumentarii maintain a constant presence, ensuring the timely identification and mitigation of security risks.
The Frumentari represent a critical pillar of national security within the Blackhelm Confederacy. Their dedicated efforts and expertise in counterintelligence play an essential role in protecting the nation from foreign intelligence threats and internal security risks. By blending seamlessly into society, the Frumentarii ensure the Confederacy's continued safety and prosperity.
Collaboration and Information Sharing
The Frumentarii work closely with other intelligence agencies, law enforcement bodies, and the military to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive approach to counterintelligence. They exchange information, coordinate operations, and share intelligence with trusted partners, both within the Blackhelm Confederacy and internationally. This collaborative approach strengthens the Confederacy's ability to counter foreign intelligence threats and enhance national security.
