The 2012 Besmenian federal election was held in Besmenia on 15 July 2012 to elect the members of the 25th Federal Chamber. The snap election was called after Vice Prime Minister Theodor Sidemann announced the dissolution of the FBBP-BVP coalition government on April 18, 2012 as a result of internal conflicts within the FBBP-BVP coalition government in the past months. The election was originally intended for September 2013.
