The Future Party was a far-right political party in the United Kingdom Malgrave.

History

The Future Party was founded on the 12th of January by a number of low-level government officials and workers from the National Workers' Republic that had been able to avoid arrest after the collapse of their seperatist republic.

Initially, the Future Party was known primarily for advocating for greater resources to be allocated towards territories of the National Workers' Republic, a cause which gained them a small but popular following as regions around Aria suffered from a poor allocation of resources due to the unpopularity of the territory in other parts of Malgrave.

Starting in the 90's the Future Party started to adopt more extremist rhetoric with the party adopting offensive literature about outsiders, and blaming the countries problems on the former Socialist Republic. It is policy shift that is hotly contested within academic circles in Malgrave, with some linking it to the economic problems caused by the Lost Decade while others have claimed that Valente Pesaro and his close followers had always held these views.

Regardless of the causes, the Future Party became known as a far-right party within Malgrave and attracted very little support outside their safe seats within the territories of the NWR, however, efforts to shut down the party through legal means proved unsuccessful until 2014 when the party made several comments in relation to the development of nuclear weapons which led to their forceful dissolution prior to the 2014 Malgravean General Election.

Political Platform

Economic Affairs

The Future Party approach to economic affairs was similar to that pushed by the National Workers' Republic, as the party advocated maintaining state control of companies like MalTra and MalDef but otherwise called for the privatisation of a large portion of state-controlled companies like MalMart, MalTec and MalPha.

In the 90s the Future Party started taking a more aggressive line against worker-owned firms and companies run by Regional Social Solidarity Councils, with the party calling for the destruction of companies like TVN which is a collaborative venture between the Most Illustrious Glorious Confederation of Proud Malgravean Proletarians and a collection of Regional Social Solidarity Councils.

Foreign Policy

The Future Party was vehemently opposed to the end of isolation and viewed it as a sign of weakness. It was primarily focused on opposing Malgravean relations with Breheim, as the party blamed Breheim for ending isolationism through Epping-Rensk Agreement which it saw as favouring socialism.

While the Future Party praised the economic system of the Imerians, the party opposed all efforts to establish contact with Imeriata and promoted teaching Imerian in schools which it claimed was to better understand the eternal enemy. It received heavy criticism in 2013 when the party released a poster celebrating the Atumite bombardment and sending official thanks to Atum for crushing the enemy.
