The Combat Action Ribbon is awarded to those members of the Armed Forces of the Temuair Empire who have actively participated in ground or surface combat but are not currently serving in an infantry or Special Forces specialization. For a military member to be awarded a Combat Action Ribbon, evidence must establish the individual physically engaged the enemy, was under hostile fire, or was physically attacked by the enemy. The servicemember's enemy engagement must have been carried out with honor to the United States and to the satisfaction of their chain of command. Evidence must show a servicemember was in actual combat, not merely present in the area where combat is occurring; the mere presence in a combat zone does not qualify a servicemember for the award.

Awarding and eligibility

The Combat Action Ribbon will be awarded to any non-infantry or special forces member of the Imperial Armed Forces for each complete combat deployments within a combat zone. Subsequent awards will be denoted by the appropriate amount of Service Stars.

The Combat Action Ribbon can not be awarded to members of the Armed Forces of the Temuair Empire who are serving in an infantry or Special Forces specialization after 1942. Those members of the armed forces would instead receive a Combat Action Badge. If an individual is deployed to a combat zone having previously received a Combat Action Badge but is no longer serving in an infantry or Special Forces specialization they would not receive a Combat Action Ribbon and would instead receive a Service Star for their Combat Action Badge
