Torport is a city in Zamastan and the third-largest city in the province of Titania, after Titania and Aurelia, with a population of 591,000. It is located along the Aviles River across from Mayotte. It has a humid continental climate with warm summers coupled with cold and wet winters. Indigenous peoples who originally inhabited the area named it Tore, meaning "where the river narrows", because the Aviles River narrows proximate to the promontory of Torport and its Cape Mantuex. Zamastanian settlers expanded the area in 1805 and adopted its native name, and as the city grew into a prominent ore industry area and served a shipping sector on the river, the name Torport was created. The ramparts surrounding Old Torport (Vieux-Titania) are the only fortified city walls remaining in Titania. This area was declared a World Heritage Site by the Coalition of Crown Albatross in 1985 as the "Historic District of Old Torport". The city's landmarks include the Château Pontenac hotel that dominates the skyline and the Citadelle of Torport, an intact fortress that forms the centerpiece of the ramparts surrounding the old city and includes a secondary governor's residence.
