The Vakayada chemical attack was a chemical attack carried out by the forces of Elastan, Atylestan, and Barangadesh, in the early hours of 14 October 2023 in Vakayada, Haduastan, during the Battle of Vakayada in the Haduastan War. Two Haduastan-controlled areas in the suburbs around Vakayada were struck by rockets containing the chemical agents sarin, white phosphorus, and chlorine. Initially, international observers believed that white phosphorus was the only chemical used, but as Haduastani forces began retaking parts of the city affected by the attack, signs of sarin and chlorine use were discovered. Estimates of the death toll range from at least 20,000 people to 40,355 people. The attack was the deadliest use of chemical weapons since the World War.
