The monarchy of the United Kingdom of Vionna-Frankenlisch, commonly referred to as the Imperial monarchy, is the monarchy of Vionna-Frankenlisch, its colonies and its Commonwealth realms. The current monarch and head of state, King James I, ascended the throne on the death of his uncle and predecessor, King Edward III, on 12th January 2012.

The United Kingdom of Vionna-Frankenlisch, officially, is the union of the Kingdom of Frankenlisch and the Kingdom of Vionna. The last ruling dynasty of the independent Kingdom of Frankenlisch was the House of Grymmon, the last monarch being King Isaac III. The last ruling dynasty of the independent Kingdom of Vionna was the House of Cerly, the last monarch being Queen Elizabeth I who later became the only Empress of the Empire of Vionna. The current and, so far, the only ruling dynasty of Vionna-Frankenlisch is the House of Turrell

If the Monarch is also the commander of the Frankenlischian Defence Force, they instead take the simple rank of Commander-in-Chief (CiC) or Commander-in-Chief, Ground Forces (CiCGF).
