Omid Yusuf Afshar (born 27 October 1972) was a Qalehi professional footballer who played as a midfielder for Qal'eh National League club Dahrzor United. Widely regarded as the best player in Qalehi footballing history, Afshar is the most-capped player in both the domestic league and the international team. Afshar's senior career spanned 17 years, for which he is best remembered for scoring the 87th minute winning goal in the 1995 Copa d'Aeia final against Newrey, which Qal'eh won 2-1.
