Kings Hill, sometimes called KH (colloquially), is a neighborhood located in the northeastern edge of Provisa, Belhavia. It is the most exclusive and wealthy neighborhood in the city, with an astounding per-capita income of $3.47 million shekels. Commonly called "KH" by locals, it is a bastion of the city's and country's elite.
Description and characteristics
Kings Hill is approximately 2.6 mi2 big, comprised of mostly residential and some light commercial areas. Some of the 19th century land plots are large enough to maintain extensive lawns, gardens, and secluded property, despite the urban setting. The most powerful and wealthy Belhavian families - the Roths, the Grays, the Settas's, the Kalians, the Goldwaters, the Goldmans, among others - maintain homes and properties within the storied neighborhood.
Besides the expensive homes and real estate, Kings Hill is host to a concentration of high-end boutique shops and cafes, catering to the high-income residents of the district. Well-known designer fashion companies such as Gerniere, Jared Hom, and Dernowitz's host their flagship stores here.
There is also a thriving restaurant scene that attracts foreign cliente.
History
Politics
Kings Hill, together with the heavily Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Shar's Circle makes up nearly all of the Provisa City Council's District 14. It is currently represented by Dovid Levy, a Conservative elected in a special election in early 2015 to succeed former District 14 City Councilman and current Provisa mayor Tom Roth.
The district is known as a Tory bastion, regularly providing one of the most lopsided vote totals in the city towards the Conservatives up and down the ballot.
