Mantassiya, officially the Republic of Mantassiya (also referred to as Mëtaksiya by some older maps and individuals), is a country in Southeast Elisia. Located between the Ornivian Federation and Nova Briton, it shares a land border with the former. It lies primarily along the coast of the Marlos Ocean, with a rather large inland sea, the Sea of Mëtaksi, making up much of its Western border. The country consists of hundreds of small offshore islands, and around 8 million inhabitants.
The country is known for its rich history, with hefty contributions to of democracy, philosophy, literature, historiography, political science, major scientific and mathematical principles, and theater. It’s historical administration was also composed of various Poleis (singular, Polis), many of which maintain substantial regional power to the modern day.
