Princess Delal of Iotopha (Iotophan: Դելալ Լորîն; b. 1 December 1991) is a socialite, and the eldest surviving child of Mêrxas, Crown Prince of Iotopha and Princess Jîman Hazaraspid. She is the heir presumptive to the defunct throne of Iotopha.

Early life and family

Princess Delal Hazaraspid of Iotopha was born on 1 December 1991 in San Gianpiere, Sante Reze to Mêrxas, Crown Prince of Iotopha and his wife Princess Jîman Hazaraspid. She is the eldest child from Mêrxas's second marriage. Her father is the current Head of the House of Hazaraspid, and pretender to the abolished Iotophan throne. Since her birth, Delal has been heir presumptive to the abolished throne as her father's eldest surviving child. Her paternal great-great uncle, Khusraw V was the last Shah of Iotopha. She has one younger sister, Peyam, and an elder brother, Ardashir. Her brother died during the Ranya Invasion. Her father is the President of Hazaraspid Group, a multinational property group.

She moved to Delphoria, Belfras at the age of 10, where she completed primary school. Delal attended boarding school at Pescia Academy in Adrianople, Latium for secondary school, and earned her baccalaureatus in 2008. She enrolled at Adrianople College, Haenna, graduating in 2012 with a degree in psychology.

Career

Delal is employed as a research analyst for Delpha. She was featured in Ventus Iotopha in August 2017, and was on the cover of Torcular Quatrum. Her appearance in Ventus Iotopha resulted in a spike in popularity for the House of Hazaraspid in Iotopha. She is also a part owner of her family's company, Hazaraspid Group.

Personal life

Delal is one of the more open and prominent members of the House of Hazaraspid, often speaking publicly or on social media about recent Iotophan events despite not being allowed to enter the country. In 2010, she publicly voiced support for the impeachment of Iotophan President Beyar Sazan after the allegations of corruption and criminal activity were revealed. She has since spoken out against current Iotophan President Fadil Berxwedan, calling him a "tyrannical thug" on her Rad.io account. Her Rad.io account has over 1 million followers. Despite current polling in Iotopha against a restoration of the monarchy due to the, Delal holds high favorability among Iotophans aged 15 through 35.

She is said to have a close relationship with her family, mostly her mother and sister. Since 2009, she has been in a relationship with David of Escondeaux after they met during university. She and Escondeaux have one child, whom is ineligible from holding a place in the line of succession to the abolished Iotophan throne due to illegitimacy. Delal has hinted on social media that she would legitimize any children with Escondeaux when she takes over as Head of the House of Hazaraspid. She also holds an XXXX diplomatic passport, allowing her to freely travel.
