List of N.K states by population
The states included in the Northern Kingdom Census Bureau's statistics for the kingdom's ethnicities, population, and other categories include the 24 states and Lomercoyne.
As of the 2022 census, the entire nation of Leucen has a total population of 87,451,667. Meanwhile, the population of the nation of Chatten has a total population of 27,661,067. Combined, the population of Chatten and Leucen totals to approximately 115,112,734. Data shows that the composition of the entire kingdom, nation-wise, is that 75.97% of the entire population lives in Leucen, while 24.03% lives in Chatten. The most populous state in those two nations are: the Federal Capital District in Leucen, which has a population of 15 million, and East Chatten in Chatten, with a population of 13.5 million. The top five most populous states (with the exception of East Chatten) are all located in Leucen. This makes the island of Leucen one of the most populous islands in the world.
The combined population of the top five most populous states: The Midlands, Ostria, East Chatten, Lomercoyne, and East of Leucen, which is approximately 58,885,875; constitutes almost half of the entire population of Chatten and Leucen, with the remaining twenty states constituting the other half (which is approximately 61,076,637).
Method
The Northern Kingdom Census Bureau counts all citizens in Chatten and Leucen; whether it be a citizen and a non-citizen, permanent resident. Civilian and military citizens serving abroad, their dependents, and dual citizenship holders are also counted by the census. Census are done every four years.
Electoral representation
The House of Baronies has 76 members, three representatives are given for each state except for the Federal Capital District (which has an additional representative). The 188-member Assembly of Commons are constantly changing when it comes to the amount of representatives a state could have. Each state in the Assembly of Commons are initially given with a minimum of 3 representatives. The apportionment of the Assembly of Commons is determined using the Colby method.
The most populous one, Lomercoyne, has 17 representatives, while the least populous state only has 2. A member of the Assembly of Commons are called delegates. Since its establishment in 1815, Lomercoyne has consistently been the most represented.
