North of Leucen (Leucish: Norys uft Leucen), officially known as the Crown State of Leucen, is a federal state bordering the Corkeesii Bay in the north, Corkees in the north-east, the Amarincen Sea to the north-west, East of Leucen and the Comynraeth Sea in the east, The Midlands in the south, and the Camict Gulf and Hundes in the west. With a population of 3.8 million, it is the 12th-most populous state and the 14th-densely populated state. With an area of 26,914 km2 (10,392 sq mi), it is the 5th-largest state by area. Its northern border is defined by the Amarincen Islands, the longest island chain in Callys. Its northernmost part, the Markland Islands, is known for its pastures and harsh winters. The port of Yggreia in Norys Markland is a known harbor and emergency port for ships travelling through the North Septentrionales Ocean. Its capital, Shalcyr, is a historic and cultural capital of the state, situated in the River Veracic and housing some of Leucen's earliest polities. It forms the western border of Corkeesii Bay and houses the Broken Amarincen Mountains.
