Andrzej Pasternack (born May 7th, 1946) is a former member of the Chamber of Representatives who served as Leader of the Conservative Action Party from 1994 to 1995.

Early life and career

Andrzej Pasternack was born in Pakosc on the 7th of May, 1946. A lot of information about Andrzej's early life is relatively undocumented, as the office containing these records was destroyed in the opening stages of the Battle of Pakosc, however, from available records it is known that Andrzej was a member of the Gabriel Narutowicz Pioneers and Free Democratic Youth (Malgrave).

In 1964 Andrzej and his family left Pakosc, as his father had got a promotion with Malgravean Automotive Industries that required a transfer to the secondary office in Epping. It was a fortunate move, as months afterwards Pakosc found itself the site of one of the fiercest battles in the civil war. Andrzej immediately volunteered to join the Territorial Defence Force, however, was frustrated when he was not sent to the Pakosc front and latter reported that he was very displeased with his military service at the time, although, he came to understand the reasoning behind his deployment.

After leaving active military service, Andrzej passed his university entrance exams with sufficient scores to enrol at Royal Epping University, a rather average student he left after four years and accepted a position with MalBank.

In 1984 Andrzej was approached by the Conservative Action Party to stand as a candidate in the upcoming 1985 Malgravean General Election, an offer which was accepted. Andrzej was elected, and due to his experience with MalBank was appointed to a position in the opposition critiquing the spending decisions of the government.

After success in the 1990 Malgravean General Election Andrzej was linked with several positions within government, and accepted the position of Minister of Social Solidarity. It soon came to be a busy position, as the economic crisis of the Lost Decade soon meant that an increasing number of people were reliant on social solidarity payments.

Leader of the Conservative Action Party

As a relatively senior politician at the time, Andrzej was also caught up in the 1994 Karlino Central Station Bombing, although, in comparison to others he received only minor injuries and he was soon back to full health. In the aftermath of the attack, a few rumours circulated around who would replace Alicja Kowalska with Andrzej and Filippo Barone touted as candidates.

Andrzej initially made no comment, and has since claimed that he had no intention to run, however, after Filippo Barone indicated his unwillingness to stand this reluctance disappeared. In his announcement, Andrzej put himself forward as a temporary leader and indicated that he would step down from party leadership once stability had been restored to the party.

In 1995 Andrzej stepped down and was replaced as Leader by Filippo Barone.
