West Chatten (Leucish: Eycos Chatten), officially known as the Crown State of West Chatten, is a federal state situated in the western coast of Chatten. It borders Corys Bay to the north, North Chatten to the north-east, East Chatten to the east, South Chatten to the south-east, Dunfast Bay to the south, and the Bay of Brygamygg and the Septentriones Ocean to the west. With a population of 2.8 million, it is the 19th-most populous state and the 19th-densely populated. With an area of 31,409 km2 (12,127 sq mi), it is the largest state in Chatten and Leucen by area. Its capital, Boinnes, is situated on the banks of River Kesse, in the southern part of the state near its border with South Chatten. Known as "Chatten's bread basket", it is the second exporter of domestic livestock and perishable goods behind The Midlands. The state is dominated by rolling hills and towering mountains, with the Mid-Chattenian Range dividing the state into two. The state's border with East Chatten traverses through the central plains, with several rivers crossing the plains such as Astador, Kesse, Myr, and Danzyr. The Seven Lakes of Raess can be found here, while the lakes Medriana and Nysmenn forms part of its eastern border.
