In 1991, he entered politics and worked as an aide to [[George Dopian|Director George Dopian]], and later as the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs from 1993 to 1996. Anastas Barkhudar (born 22 February 1959) is an Vardanan statesman and former military officer serving, who has served as First Secretary of Vardana since 2010. He has been a Member of the Directory of Vardana, representing the People's Republic of Bayazet from 2000 to 2008, and later the Armavia since 2010.
Barkhudar was born in Tayots in the Bayazet. He studied law at the State University of Kajnadzor, graduating in 1982.
