After waiting for permission to film in the Monastery for 20 years, Petarev filmed over the course of 9 months, and then spent two years editing the footage.

The film was selected in August 2021 by the National Film Association to be Tengaria's entry for the Montecara Film Festival and thus a candidate the presitigious Béco Aùreo.
