Otto Schulz (né Gahlenbeck; 18 February 1932 - 23 July 2022) was a Besmenian politician, who served as the 8th President of Besmenia between 1985 and 1997. Prior to that, Schulz served as federal minister for internal affairs from 1980 to 1985.

In November 2002 Schulz’s book With Responsibility for Besmenia was published. He has been giving lectures and seminars since the end of the 1990s. Since the end of his presidency, Schulz has also been a frequent guest on political talk shows with his opinions on current political issues.

Personal life

Schulz was married to the psychotherapist Margot Ernst from 1965 to 1977. The daughter Angelika Schulz-Heimer (born: 12 June 1969) comes from this marriage. In 1980 Schulz married the entrepreneur Klaudia Wagner, with whom he was married until her death in 2018.
