The Stjärnkhrone house (English: Starcrown) is the most important noble house in Scandera and remains one of the wealthiest houses in the modern federation with several government positions held by them up to the levels of overlords of several realms. The name comes from the ancient crown used by the kings of the river that was forged out of peridot and iron claimed from a meteoroid that crashed down on earth.

In the modern age so does the Stjärnkhrone house have their stronghold in Imerbürg where they rule from their ancestral palace that is just referred to as the royal palace by most people in the federation where they keep their relics and other items of great power

History

The history of the Stjärnkhrone family can be traced back to the later leadership of the Stjärnspjufen tribe that lived in the south eastern parts of the northern iceplains and especially their leader Drotin Fylrik that crowned himself Drotin of Storfloden after the Imerian migration. For Centuries did the Sjtärnkhrone family rule this river from their stronghold of Imerbürg which made them strong and rich as they controlled the trade between innanhafet and most of central Imeriata proper. Here did they build themselves not only strong armies but also strong navies and a series of impressive castles and forts where they ruled from.

Even if these forts were under siege over and over so did they not fail and the Stjärnkhrone family grow rich and powerful and their lands grew until they managed to create the river kingdom that encompassed north western Imeriata and later on the southwestern part and sundet as well.

In the end so was it also the Stjärnkhrone family that unified first Imeriata in 474 and later on even Scandera in 1534. As they consolidated power so did they also help create the modern system of government with a bureaucracy under the direct rule of the high king that rules besides a nobility that also rules with the blessing of the monarch and nothing more which allows the kings to overturn their decisions and issue demands at wish.

More so have the family also been a great patron of art, learning, religion and magic and they have created several museums, concert halls, universities and wizard towers all over the federation from their own pockets. The house has also produced several great warriors and explorers that have won fame both in the federation but also abroad as well.

Family tree

The family tree of the Stjärnkhrone is one of the longest of most detailed in the federation with able to track their lineage back to the migration with the lineage starting with Drotin Fylrik that ruled as Drotin of the river. The house ascended to royalty by claiming the title king of the river 400 years later lead by king Dragon Blotshammare. Finally did the family unite Imeriata in 474 AD and then finally did they unite the Scanderan continent in 1521 at the end of the 200 years war. With such a long history can the Stjärnkhrone family trace it's linage back to several well known heroes, producing several of their own from the main blood line and even gods have found their way into the lineage as Fylrik claimed to be a nephew to Belron and as such related to the god of war; Bel. In the case of the long dead Fylrik II so did the family even trace their linage back to the might Storfloden itself.

Cadet branches

The house of Mandrik is a cadet branch of the Stjärnkhrone house in Eteisrannikko that is descendant from the first dukes appointed by the Imerian high king when Eteisrannikko was incorporated into their domains at the end of the 200 years war. They have over the year produced several great men during their history as Melker auf Mandrik that led the royalist retreat from Eteisrannikko during the civil war and the current queen is also of this house.

Their heraldry is a Sable field, on this is three or eagles with their wings displayed and elevated and with gules tongues arranged in a line running from top to bottom atop of this is a gules bent sinister running from the bottom to the top over the middle eagle.

The jarna branch of the house or as they are formally called Stjärnkhrone i Jarnarna is the house ruling over jarnarna and have done so since after the Öaherre uprising which resulted in the banishment and dissolution of the Öaherre house and the Imerian naval captain Egil auf Stjärnkhrone that was the nephew of the new high king Primus rex Stjärnkhrone XI. However so did the branch lose power rather quickly and moved to their ancestral home in southern Imeriata where they gained riches on the fishing that was so common amongst the coast.

However the house rose to fame and glory in the 200 year war when a descendant of this house named Sverker auf Sjtärnkhrone managed to launch a raid at Vederis itself in the end of the war and actually capture it even if he had to surrender it quickly enough. However his raids did provide a great help for the advancing Imerian forces and when Jarnara joined the absolute royal federation so were he crowned Jarl of Jarnara and the house could return to the islands which they ruled two centuries ago.

Their heraldry is Party per pale with a gules field and a diagonally striped field with five stripes, three argent ones and two azure ones. On the sinister field of the shield so is there a Or sea serpent and on the right side so can the or eagle with wings displayed and elevated and with the gules tongue of the stjärnkhrone house in a reverse position (turned towards the sinister side rather than the right as normal) be found.

NyStjärnkhrone is the second youngest branch of the Stjärnkhrone tree and they were granted their holdings when the second oldest son of high king Sverker rex Stjärnkhrone II and brother of Emanuel rex Stjärnkhrone IX, his grace Fylwin auf Stjärnkhrone I was granted Nova Imeriata as his domain. However with the cowardice Fylwin showed in the civil war and the weapon refusal showed by both royalists and syndicalists in nova Imeriata so were Fylwin executed and it was debated for a long time if the house should have it's titles taken from it and it's heraldry declared illegal.

In the end however so were the son of Fylwin crowned duke and the house got to retrain their personal holdings and the tile of duke even if the house still is looked down upon by most people in the Stjärnkhrone house and all it's cadet houses and they are annually supposed to send their flag to Imerbürg to be dragged around the royal palace until they have redeemed themselves.

Their heraldry is the reversed colours of the Sjtärnkhrone main branch with a or field with an argent eagle with displayed and elevated wings and a gules tongue in the middle of the shield. However as all other cadet branches so do they lack the royal crown that the main branch's eagle is crowned by.

Stjärnkhrone i Nya landborg is the vinland branch of the Stjärnkhrone house that were given the title duke of Sydvinland and their heraldry inspired the heraldry of the realm that they rules. Historically have the house produced several federal heroes and during queen Erika's war were Frank auf Stjärnkhrone a strong supporter and general to queen Erika despite most of the branch swearing their loyalty to the high king.

Their shield is divided in the middle from left to right and the upper field is then split in two from top to bottom, the upper sinister field is azure, the right upper field is gules and the lower is argent. On the azure field is there a or bull rampart. On the right upper field is there a or garbs of wheat and in the argent field can one find the or Stjärnkhrone eagle with its wings elevated and presented.

The Stjärnkhrone branch of the house was named rulers of Sandland during the colonisation of that realm, despite that so have the branch only produced minor noblemen and they have mostly been restricted to Sandland.

Their coat of arms is a striped field with stripes of Argent and Sable running down from top to bottom with the Or Stjärnkhrone eagle with it's wings presented and elevated.
