The 1908 Yuan Revolution, officially known as the Yuaneze People's War of Liberation in the People's Republic of Yuan or the Yuan Communist Revolution in Gangkou, was a period of social and political revolution in Yuan that began with the official unification of the Communist Party of Yuan, an armed uprising against the Heng Dynasty, and the assassination of Emperor Pan Guanting. Many Heng sympathizers fled the mainland for Zamastanian-controlled Gangkou, while Deng Zhelan came to power in Yuan. The Communist victory had a major impact on the global balance of power: Yuan became the second major socialist state after Beleroskov, inspired direct and indirect influence to communist movements around the world, and inspired the growth of socialist-industrialist parties in numerous countries. Shock at the CPY's success and fear of similar events occurring across Ausiana, as well as the spread of the UCSS led the capitalist powers to crack down on communist movements in their own nations. To this day, the Yuaneze Communist Party remains the governing party of Yuan.
