The 2021 Hverlandic presidential election took place on 15 March to elect the President of Hverland for a 6-year term of office. The election featured two stages, the first of which was held to determine if a candidate could secure more than 50% of the vote. The second stage, or runoff, was to be held between the top two candidates if no majority was reached in the first round.

The 2021 election saw participation from four political parties—the Liberals, the Centre Party, the Social Democratic Party, and the Conservative Nationals—as well as an independent candidate. Þorvaldur Jónsson, the candidate from the Liberals, emerged victorious after the second stage of the election. This was the first election in which a member of the Liberals was elected president.

The population of Hverland stood at 131,414 in 2021, out of which approximately 75% or 98,560 individuals were of voting age. The voter turnout was remarkably high, with 78,848 people or 80% of the voting-eligible population casting their votes.
