Festival date	6 – 13 July 2022

The 96th Tofino Film Festival, also known as the 96th Pine Awards and the 69th Tofino International Film Festival, was held from July 6-13th, 2022. Road to Maastir led all nominees with 10, winning 4 including Best Supporting Actor for Faadil Minhas, as well as becoming the first Emmirian film to win Best Picture. Word to the Wise won the most awards overall with 5, including Best Actor for Jonas Gama, Best Supporting Actress for Fae Fonnend, and Best Soundtrack. Tertk Dakelin won Best Director for Canvas, which also won 3 more awards. Other winners included Trial of Elkford and The Love She Gave, The Joy She Knew with two awards, Thirst: The Poet of Jandus, Merhaba Komsu (Hello Neighbour), Recoiled, and Half-Radiated with one award.
