The film stars an ensemble cast led by Andrew Green as Ethan Fletcher/Duality, alongside Cameron Rose, Harley Baker, Jacob Dawson and others. It is the twelvth film in the Nave Superhero Cinematic Universe (NSCU). The film follows Ethan Fletcher, a lawyer who is gravely injured in an attempted assassination by the villanous billionare and underworld crime boss Kristopher Sharp. In his recovery and quest for justice, Fletcher takes on the persona of a masked vigilante "Duality" and seeks to take down Sharp and his criminal enterprise from the streets of Tofino.

Duality premiered in Point Tarin on January 7th, 2022, and was released the same week internationally. The film became a critical and commercial success, grossing over $1.218 billion worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing films of 2022. Critics praised the action sequences, acting performances, soundtrack, storyline, visual style and stunts, but panned Harley Baker's performance as Alyson Nova, Fletcher's love interest.

Plot

Ethan Fletcher (Green) and his friend Reuban Nash (Rose) work as attorneys in Tofino under Fletcher&Nash. Fletcher and Nash are appointed by the city of Tofino to prosecute Kian Price (Owen), the leader of an underground money laundering firm which has conned billions of dollars. Fletcher uncovers with the help of police detective Flynn (Dixon) that Price is working for an unknown higher up, and that Price's boss has contaminated the jury pool. Fletcher convinces the judge to work a fresh jury, and Price is convicted of laundering. Price takes a plea deal to escape a longer prison sentence, stating that he'll help uncover the identity of his boss and other key figures in the underground criminal community.

As Fletcher accompanies Price and the police from the courthouse, an assassin (Young) opens fire on them from a skyscraper across the street. Price and several police officers are killed, and Fletcher is shot in the legs, shattering them and causing him to be paralyzed. Fletcher spends many weeks in the hospital, defeated believing that his work as a lawyer will not make a difference in the world. Meanwhile, Alyson Nova (Baker) witnesses the death of her father Nathan (Gallegos) at the hands of Kristopher Sharp (Dawson) during a business meeting. Fleeing the scene, Alyson is tracked down by Farshot, who spares her life at Sharp's order on the condition that she tells noone.

Alyson and Reuban visit Fletcher in the hospital as he's recovering, breaking the news of Nathan Nova's death. Breaking the condition of her threat, Alyson tells Fletcher that Kristopher Sharp is the leader of the crime enterprise that Price worked for, and she believes the assassin who tried to kill her was the same one who killed Price. However, when she goes to the police they do not believe her, citing Sharp's generous donations and contributions over the decades. Eventually, Fletcher recovers but is confined to a wheelchair. He continues his work at Fletcher&Nash, but when Alyson is threatened again by Farshot as a reminder to stay quiet, it motivates Fletcher to take action.

Fletcher creates a set of bionic exoskeleton legs to recover his ability to walk, and utilizing his skills in martial arts prior to his injury, takes on the persona of a masked vigilante. He spends nights at a time tracking down and beating up mob members within Sharp's enterprise, and makes an ally in the investigative reporter Brody Manson (Wyatt) who is trying to uncover Sharp's dealings as well. Together, with Fletcher's vigilante work and Manson's investigating, the two slowly work to concrete evidence of the identity of Farshot as a steel worker named Jody Compton. When Fletcher goes to confront Compton in his wheelchair, Compton recognizes Fletcher as the person he was hired to assassinate, and breaks his cover by telling Fletcher to meet him that night on a rooftop. That night, Fletcher encounters Compton. Compton attempts to kill him, but with the use of his legs and fighting ability, Fletcher defeats Compton in a brutal brawl, and Compton reveals he was hired by Sharp. Fletcher convinces him to speak with Manson. Compton reveals to Manson that Kristopher Sharp uses Sharp Industries as a front for his criminal empire, and that among other things he ordered the killing of Price and personally murdered Nathan Nova. With that news, Manson publishes damning evidence online, sweeping away much of Sharp's credibility and undermining him.

Confiding in his priest, Fletcher confesses his identity as the vigilante and admits that he has hurt people in his quest for justice. The priest tells Fletcher that while his methods are intense, they are not beyond forgiveness, and states that if the outcome is the downfall of Sharp it will be worth it for the hundreds of innocent people that Sharp has killed. With that, Fletcher is determined to take down Sharp for good.

Kristopher Sharp discovers that Compton has betrayed him, and orders assassins to kill him and Fletcher, as well as Alyson Nova. Dozens of armed killers go after Alyson at her home, but Fletcher arrives and defeats them. However, Nash is killed at Fletcher's home after assassins mistake him for Fletcher. Enraged, Fletcher takes up his vigilante disguise, informs detective Flynn that he is headed to take down Sharp, and that he needs help. Fletcher arrives at Sharp Industries and fights past goons to the top floor office, where he encounters Sharp's daughter, Leslie. Leslie discloses that she disagrees with her fathers criminal empire, and that she was the leak that caused Manson to pursue his investigation into Sharp in the first place. She directs Fletcher to the roof of the skyscraper where Sharp is attempting to flee the city via a helicopter. Engaging in a brawl, Sharp destroys one of Fletcher's bionic legs, but Compton arrives to help Fletcher. Together, the two take down Sharp. Before police arrive, Sharp discovers Fletcher's identity, and threatens to tell police, but Fletcher points out that no one will ever believe that the vigilante is a wheelchair-bound man.

Fletcher and Alyson attend Reuban's funeral. Fletcher uncovers his identity to Alyson and promises that he will continue to work as a lawyer by day, and a vigilante by night.

An end credit scene sees Farshot constructing himself a new mask.
