Ailsa Healy (née Glaspie) is a Aisling actress and model who is most famous for her role in the children's television how ...and A Bag of Chips , and more recent as Orsola in Eclipse In addition to her acting, she has also worked as a model for various fashion houses, including Mistica and Cuithbeart Aguiar, most notably appearing in the 2019 Mistica Summer Show and the 2023 Mosoco Fashion Show.
Early life
Ailsa Glaspie was born to Isobel and Kelan Glaspie in 1997 in Lestelle, Temuair. Her father was an officer in the Aisling Army and was killed in combat while deployed with a multinational peacekeeping force to central Omand in 2007.
In school, Ailsa was an advanced student and earned top marks in the majority of her studies. She began completing online courses for college credit at age 13, and continued her college course work during her junior and senior years while being privately tutored during her time working in Fife while cast in the hit children's series ...and A Bag of Chips. She completed her college course work in June of 2017, but also had earned enough credits to receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising and Public Relations from Mileth Central University
Career
In 2013 as a junior in high school, Ailsa got her debut in television after winning a casting contest held at her local high school in Aldaz. She was one of 20 contestants from around the nation to be cast as extras on the fourth season of the Volante Media Group's children's television show ...and A Bag of Chips. She was voted the most popular guest star in the 2014 Volante Viewers Choice Awards. She was offered a contract to appear on the show for another two seasons and hinted that she may receive her own show in the future. While her mother was hesitant to allow Ailsa to work full time for Volante Media Group, fearing she would not complete her education , her stepfather, whom her mother had married in 2012, was a lawyer by trade, and noted that compensation outlined in the contract was far below industry standard. He threatened to turn this information over to a number of news agencies unless the contract was resubmitted with an industry standard wage and provisions for Ailsa to receive private tutoring while in Fife for filming. VMG acquiesced to these demands to prevent any damage to their brand, but stipulated that her contract would end in 2018 and would be non-renewable. In addition, the plans for production of a children's show staring Ailsa were scrapped. Ailsa did receive enough credits to graduate in the summer of 2017, and her contract was terminated by VMG on January 1, 2018. She has not worked for Volante Media Group since.
In 2018, director Jamie Cora approached Ailsa about playing a leading role in her upcoming fantasy/sci-fi series Eclipse. Set in the year 2133, Ailsa plays the role of the Orsola, one of only a handful of people who have somehow begun to manifest psychic abilities. Her specific ability is that of telekinesis. She and other people like her, known as "talents" are brought together in an attempt to utilize their abilities. The series premiered on October 31, 2019, and has received generally positive reviews to date.
Personal life
She married professional football player Marino Healy in 2016. She graduated from Mileth Central University with a Masters of Science degree in Design and Merchandising in 2021.
In a 2018 interview with StarLine, she stated she hoped to one day work for a fashion house in a creative capacity, as opposed to being a model. She has made repeated statements that she would be most interested in working for Mosoco. She has been seen many times in public with both Anastasia Mosoco and her daughter Nydia Mosoco, who is only a year younger than Ailsa.
In 2023, in partnership with Mosoco, Ailsa revealed a self-designed line of women's apparel, which she modeled herself in February of 2023 at the annual Mosoco Fashion Show held in Luminerra.
