Aleksandra Krstich (née Jankovich) (born 11 October 1978, Nikolajevo, Nikolia) is the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nikolia. She was appointed to the office by the King Aleksandar II of Nikolia after her predecessor was elected a Chancellor of Nikolia. She previously held office of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nikolia for 4 years.
Early life
Aleksandra was born to a family of merchants in coastal city of Nikolajevo in Nikolia. Her father, Kosta is a famous Nikolajevian merchant and owner of the company "Janko Lines", one of the largest logistics companies in Nikolia. Her mother, Alisa, an university professor of mathematics comes from a Mazurian Catholic family Kowacz from the city of Legnica in the southeast of the country. Aleksandra spent most of her childhood in Nikolajevo, where she finished primary and high school, while she usually spent her summer vacations in Legnica. After the graduation from the High School, Aleksandra moved to Carigrad and enrolled on the Imperial University of Carigrad, Faculty of Political Sciences, where she took diplomacy course.
Political career
During her university years, she became politically active in the student's parliament. Later on she took part in Model World Assembly sessions where she was awarded the Best Delegate for her excellent performance. Wishing to expand her involvement in actual politics, Aleksandra joins the Social Democratic Party of Nikolia in 1999 and becomes an active member. After her graduation in 2001 she was proposed on the upcoming elections for the member of the City Council of Carigrad. In 2004 after the Jan Kosinski scandal, she moved to Monarchist Party of Nikolia after which in late 2004 she became member of the Ducal Parliament of Moravia.
In 2007 she became member of the executive board of the Monarchist Party, after which she became Member of the National Assembly of Nikolia. In 2011 she was appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nikolia and a member of the Crown Council of Nikolia. She served as the Deputy Minister and occasionally as the Nikolian representative to the World Assembly and the EATC for 4 years, after which the then-Minister, Branislav Jovanovski was appointed Chancellor of Nikolia. She took his place on 14th of September 2015 as a Foreign Minister of Nikolia and she is still incumbent (2018).
