Antelope family

Template:Infobox Family The Antelope family (Антелопе Чазу) is a prominent family in Namor since the founding of the People's Republic. It spanned from the paramount leader and founder of the Namorese Liberationists, Yunglang Antelope, and since his death has expanded.

Notable members of the family are mostly politicians, specifically members or leaders of the Liberationist Party which Yunglang and his son Gelai both led. For example, Txo Antelope, the son of Gelai, served as secretary-general of the party until NMR 2372 when his son, Shohai Antelope succeeded him. The Liberationist Party earned the nickname "Antelope family party (Антелопе Чадаанг)" or "The Family Party (Чадаанг)" due to its history of being led by members of the family.

The family receives much attention from the mainstream Namorese media, and was ranked by The Liberator to be the "number one family in Namor." It is also the subject of many unfounded conspiracy theories, the most popular one claiming that members of the family actually control the government.

History

The Antelope family is of Kannei Namorese ethnicity. Prior to the Namorese Revolution the family was considered lowly-ranked and wasn't widely known. The family is believed to have originated from the region of West Nozama, in the village of Atasto (now a site of revolutionary pilgrimage because Yunglang was born there). Yunglang Antelope was the youngest of two children - his brothers were Yungsheng (b. NMR 2230, d. NMR 2304) and Yungjing (b. NMR 2334, d. NMR 2299).

Considered the most recognized member of the family, Yunglang married Chi Sangmei, beginning relations between the Antelope and Chi family (which wasn't big either). Chi gave birth to Yunglang's two sons - Gelai (b. NMR 2263, d. NMR 2340) and Chishui (b. NMR 2270). Gelai later became another important Namorese statesman (responsible for bringing about Minjuha), and had two sons, Txo (b. NMR 2295) and Tzang (b. NMR 2300). Chishui has two children - his son Wangpi (b. NMR 2298) and daughter Taygan (NMR 2305 - present).

Right now, Chishui is the oldest living member of the family.
