Arminius is the current Commissar of R-DARK, meaning that he is the commanding officer of the military intelligence agency of Brytene. Little is known about this highly secretive individual, and government records pertaining to his person are strictly classified, unavailable to members of the general public. The name is known to be a pseudonym.
Early life
Estimates of his age, based upon eyewitness accounts and other contextual information, suggest that Arminius was born sometime in the mid 1960s, potentially in rural Anglaland. If this is the case, he would have attended state schooling until the age of 18.
Career
R-DARK personnel records are entirely classified, outside of certain TOGFOR and BDS personnel for whom it is necessary. All that is known about Arminius' military career is that he became head of R-DARK in 1999, less than a year after Cenwulf Teorell came to power.
He is known to be privy to Witenagmot sessions, but is very careful about revealing himself in public.
Theories
There are several theories regarding his identity. Some of the more popular ones are listed below.
- Leofric Teorell - some people have claimed that he is the supposedly deceased father of Cenwulf Teorell. This would mean he would already be beyond retirement age, however.
- Sihtric Hood - some investigations have claimed that Arminius is a man named Sihtric Hood, who officially died in a bear attack whilst hiking in Nortymba in 1984 at the age of 18. There is no further evidence to support this claim, however, and his surviving family have all confirmed that they believe him to be dead.
- Bjorn Karsten - several reports place Arminius as Bjorn Karsten, an accomplished actor famous for his roles in Brytisc and international television dramas. Bjorn Karsten is still working as an actor, however, and has denied being the commander of Brytene's secret service.
