Arsenale S.p.A., formerly Arsenali Federali Etruriani, is an Etrurian multinational company specialising in aerospace, shipbuilding, defence and security. Headquartered in Povelia, Etruria, Arsenale operates 97 sites worldwide. It is the ninth largest defence contractor in the world based on 2020 revenues. The company is partially owned by the Etrurian government, which holds 33.2% of the company's shares and is its largest shareholder. The company began as the state-owed Arsenali Federali Etruriani, which was founded in 1909, before being privatised in 1988 as a public company. Its privatisation saw the adoption of the name Arsenale (Arsenal).
In the late 2010s, the company underwent a restructuring integrating various subsidiaries such as AerMeccanica, SicurezzaQuantistica, Nova Technologies and Accantieri. Its marine divisions were amalagamated into Arsenale Marittimi and separated into a subsidiary owing to the number of joint-ventures conducted with Accadia Nettuno. Arsenale is also the corporate centre for multiple pan-Euclean joint ventures and operates shared ownership of companies alongside Gaullican and Weranian defence contractors. Aresnale is listed on the Borsa Etruriana. In 2019, the company underwent a marketing change, adopting the Lion of Saint Mark as part of its logo and moving its principal headquarters to the Povelian Arsenal, which the company donated €65 million for the renovation of the quarter.
