Aurelius Flavius Graywood, better known as Aurelius Graywood, is a Confederate businessman. He is best known for being the former President and CEO of Phaeton from 1993 to 2015.

Early life and family background

Aurelius Flavius Graywood was born in Redemption, Empire of Exponent. He is the second son of Julius Claudius Graywood, a prominent aristocrat in the Redemption region whose family had served the empire for several generations.

Aurelius' ancestors were traditionally successful landowners in the area, with an extensive military pedigree dating back generations. His grandfather, Flavius Graywood, distinguished himself during the Albandaean Crisis after leading the defense of Holy Light against the Healers' Movement. The following year, during the 1897 Hesperidesian Census, Flavius took the surname "Graywood" in recognition of the Ironbark tree plantation on his family property. That same year, thanks to his military prestige, he entered into Exponential high society and became especially active on local governance, representing the province of Redemption in the Imperial Senate from 1904 until his death in 1922.

Aurelius' father, Julius, pursued a similar interest in politics, playing a key role in local affairs around the province of Redemption while also pursuing an array of financial and personal interests throughout his life, and served as a commander in the Imperial Exponential Navy during the Great Astyrian War. Julius' brother and Aurelius' uncle, Antonius Graywood, was a Legate in the Imperial Army during the Great Astyrian War.

Education

Graywood graduated from Paradisa University in 1968 with a degree in law, and received a masters degree in international commercial law at King Uroš I University in 1971.

Phaeton

In 1993, Graywood was appointed as President of Phaeton upon the death of Lucius Geta. The first few months were marked by a period of restructuring due to the turmoil that Geta's loss brought to the company, while also reversing its dire financial state. Under Graywood's early leadership, Phaeton began to report its first net profits in over a decade. He was also instrumental in the revitalization of Phaeton's road car lineup towards better build quality and craftsmanship.

Alongside the road car business, the race car division also underwent a period of intense rebuilding. Graywood's goal for Stabulum Phaeton was to bring home the Astyrian Formula One (AstyF1) Constructors' Championship and the AstyF1 Drivers' Championship; both of which hadn't been achieved since 1983. He made drastic changes in the team, hiring < name > as team principal and signed then two-time champion Augustus Tertullius in 1997.

Under Graywood and < name >, Phaeton broke their title drought in 2001 by becoming the Constructors' Champions, while Tertullius became Drivers' Champion in 2002. The team went on to dominate the early 2000s, winning six Constructors' Championships and five Drivers' Championships from 2001 to 2006.

Personal life

Graywood maintains several homes throughout throughout Blackhelm Confederacy, including an apartment in Paradise City and his family estate outside Redemption. He is also known as an expert sailor, with personal yachts moored both on Hesperidesia's Northern and Southern coasts.

Graywood is married to Augusta Livia Embergrove, and the pair have four children.
