Camellia, also known by her Chinese and civilian name Tianyao (Chinese: 苗天瑶; pinyin: Miáo Tiānyáo), is an Amenrian superhero and model. She is the twin sister of Camilla, and they are collectively known as the Vampire Twins.

Due to her mother's position as the Matriarch of her own subsidiary within the Angelheart Family, Camellia is not only a member of the Starchild Sorority, but also the Heiress of the Miao Coven with her sister.

Design

Camellia is an Asian woman in her twenties with a rounded face, large eyes, and long, blonde, straight hair. Like most of her sisters, she has a tall, willowy figure, and like all vampires, pale skin. Her mark of the Starchild, which is located on her right forearm, is unique in that it only resembles a constellation (in her case, Gemini) when viewed next to her sister's. Aside from her hair colour and the location, as well as the shape of her mark, she looks identical to her twin sister.

In Realms 2600, a photo of her wearing a white and gold military uniform can be seen in her great nieces' house.

Personality

Camellia is soft spoken and polite, using proper honorifics and pronouns when addressing others, including her father when in official business, despite him saying that it was unnecessary for her to do so. Her respectful attitude, in addition to her kindness and gentleness, has in turn inspired the respect of others, from her subordinates, former classmates, and even the Patriarchs of other Angelheart subsidiaries, to the point of being described as one of, if not the most well-mannered Starchild and earning the nickname of "Golden Princess".

In battle, she is known to dissuade the opponent before fighting, just like Mirage. Unlike Mirage, however, she would not hesitate to fight directly against those who reject her initial mercy, all while remaining calm and collected and speaking as politely as she always does. Her cool-headed state of mind has been described as arrogance by some opponents, although she is capable of being objective in assessing her own capabilities and comparing them to others, as she has internal remarks on her own limitations.

In contrast to her sister, who chooses to shoot opponents from a distant to avoid wasting Qì, Camellia's approach to combat is direct and straightforward, often seen relentlessly chasing the opponent to attack with her sword or powers from close range and deflecting any attacks with her Shield of Faith.

Background

Camellia and her sister are the only members of the Starchild Sorority to have "truly" been born in the Prime Universe, and not existed through the Convergence. With the exception of having a stay at home father and a working mother, in addition to the small complexities that comes with growing up as vampires, both women had average childhoods and teenage years on the surface. Below that surface, however, their father had trained them in combat and prepared them for the inevitable day when his old, living enemies (or their vengeful offspring) would wish them harm.

Origins

It was at the age of 16 when the twins witnessed the kidnapping of their mother, triggering their Awakening. With the post-Convergence daughters, they resolved to rescue her instead of staying home and let their father bring her home. Tianshi initially opposed the idea out of concern for their safety. However, he relented when they proved their capabilities and strong will to save Michelle, but maintaining that he would be leading the operation.

While the stark differences in personality is often a cause for arguments between the two sisters, they share a mutual understanding and respect, making them a well-coordinated team in battle.

Camellia and her sister have grown close enough with each other through the years to know what the other would think, say, or do in a given situation, which gives one twin an advantage when investigating if something happened to the other.

Makomborero Gwisai

Camellia respects the young hero's drive and desire to protect life when she fought alongside him and internally expressed her awe at his persistence after seeing him use his Soul Arsenal in newer ways, inspired by various animals in nature. Her respectful feelings towards him would blossom into something more romantic further in the game, but nothing would come out of it as by then he would be dating Mary.

Camellia has one of the largest HP pools in the entire Starchild Sorority, second to only Switch. While her regeneration isn't as quick as Fragment's, both of these factors make her a good tank and it is advisable that she be played as such unless a more defensive character like Diamond is in the party (although one has to ask why they would have both at the same time). Always have both twins in the party if possible, and have one sister learn black-white techniques, as they would onlt be able to use them when both are present. These techniques, such as Heaven's Blade are extremely powerful and would carry the party through the entire campaign. Which sister should learn said techniques would be up to the player's playstyle and prioritization of offence over defence or vise versa, due to the opportunity costs.

Right Arm of the Universe is a white-coloured Soul Arsenal, giving its user control over light. Camellia has also been seen using it to heal others. When in physical contact with her sister, Camellia can create constructs of light and darkness which resemble those created by their father and use powers requiring both black and white Qì.

Regeneration

As a half vampire, Camellia is able to heal from wounds faster than the average person, and even faster after drinking blood.

Strength

Camellia's physical strength is immense, with her father commenting that at the age of 16, her punches were as strong as her mother's at 18.

Multilingualism

Camellia is able to speak English fluently, as well as basic Korean and Indonesian.

Weaknesses

Due to her vampire lineage, she is harmed by silver, albeit not to the same extent as full-blooded vampires.

Creation and conception

Camellia and her twin was concepted during Realms' alpha stage, where they would be villains named Angela and Devilla respectively. This idea was soon scrapped in favour of making them sisters with opposite alignments, with Angela being the good twin and Devilla being the evil twin. This concept never made it into production, and was shelved until 2017, where they became their current interation.

• Camellia's gained her fangs at the age of 12, days after her sister.
• Camellia is one of the only mono white vampires in the game so far, with Void being the only other vampire to share a colour with her and Lumen being the other mono white vampire.
• She is one of the first Realms characters to be concepted, with her first concepts being made in 2014.
• To celebrate the release of the latest season of the anime Bleach, two new skins of her, complete with new voice lines and Character Traits, were released. One, Camilla Bianco, is an interpretation of what she would be as an Arrancar, with a zanpakuto called La Vampira, which turns grants her a bat-like form when released with the command "drain".
