Casambre, officially the United Casambrean Kingdom (Audonian:Royaume-uni Casambrois), is a nation located in southern Belisaria. Casambre is bordered by Vannois to the southwest and Garima to the east. Casambre is composed of TBD subdivisions.

Casambre has been inhabited by tribal groups, referred to by Latin scholars as the Casambrii, since the Iron age. It was conquered and ruled by the Latins in TBD, who administered the area until TBD when it emerged as a briefly independent feudal state that was subjugated to the Holy Audonian Empire under Robert I. Casambre remained as a duchy of the Empire until the late 16th century, where Jean I lead the country in a succesful war of independence against the Audonian Empire under Francis I, establishing the Kingdom of Casambre. His heir, Phillip I, continued to expand Casambrian power on mainland Belisaria throughout the seventeeth century, including participation in colonial ventures, until his separation of Casambre from the Catholic church as retaliation for the Pope's rejection of his request to annul a marriage. This plunged Casambre into a religious war which lasted seven years and only ended with the Concord of Amisant in which an end to hostilities was negotiated at the expense of much of the executive power of the monarchy.

After the war, Casambre became somewhat of a hermit state, losing most of its ability to project power beyond its borders as an increasingly powerful aristocratic- and later, common-class developed the Kingdom into its current state of a limited executive monarchy bound by a constitution.

Casambre is a unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy. Executive power is vested in the King, a member of the House of Arcenne, who is selected by absolute primogeniture. In practice, much of the King's executive powers are delegated to a civilian parliament headed by the Chief Minister, who is elected for six year terms. Casambre consists of # subdivisions and is roughly evenly split distributionwise between rural and urban centers. Its capital is Montmaison, while its largest city is Sangport.

Casambre is a unitary constitutional monarchy. While the monarch retains some measures of executive power, such as the ability to approve or reject laws, many executive powers such as foreign policy and taxation is managed by the elected civilian government, headed by the Chief Minister.

The legislature, known as the Royal General Court (Cour générale royale), is a bicameral assembly consisting of TBD elected delegates. The National Assembly is directly elected in a two-round election to represent constituencies of roughly 100,000 people from qualified members.

Judiciary and law enforcement

Main article: Judicial system of Casambre, Law enforcement in Casambre

Casambre's judicial systems derive from Arlesian laws and follows a civil legal system. The basic tenets of Miscatian law were formally codified under Achillean Code, which forms the basis of many modern western legal systems- the code itself derives from statues of royal law established over centuries prior. Famed jurist Grégoire Lachapelle, the first Chief Arbiter of the Supreme Court, wrote that laws "should be made to serve the common interest wholly, to the extent it begins to detract from the common man's interests severely." That is, laws should serve to protect the interests both of the general population and the rights of the individual without infringing upon either too egregiously.

Casambrean law is subdivided into civil, or common laws (loi commune) and public laws (loi publique). Courts are organized at the regional and departmental levels. Casambre has three courts of last resort with differing jurisdiction- the Court of Cassation with jurisdiction over civil and criminal matters, the Supreme Constitutional Court with review of constitutional cases, and the State Council with overview of administrative cases.
