The House of Arcenne is the royal house of Casambre. Originating from the ancient baronetal and later ducal House of Arcenne which ruled Casambre at the time of the Casambrean War of Independence lead by Jean I, it has maintained power since the country's independence in the late 16th century. Although its authority has been dwindled as a result of the Concord of Amisant and subsequent constitutional reforms, the Arcenne house has maintained some executive leeway in the governance of the nation.
