In Romaia, the Council of State (Greek: Συμβούλιο της Επικρατείας) is the highest court of appeal or court of last resort in Romaia. Established in 1867 as a successor to the Royal Council (Βασιλικό Συμβούλιο), it is located in the Palace of Justice in Constantinoupoli and is primarily made up of top-level legal officers.

The Council of State also ensures the correct application of law in the inferior and appeal courts and resolves disputes as to which lower court (penal, civil, administrative, military) has jurisdiction to hear a given case.
