Scitaria is a geographic and administrative region of Syara. Posessing the most extensive coastline of all of Syara's Realms, Scitaria's history has been heavily influenced by it's marintime traditions. Modern Scitaria serves as major economic hub due to it's many industrial areas and ports.

Scitaria is one of the oldest inhabited locations in Syara, with evidence of human habitation stretching as far back as the Neolithic era. Ancient Scitaria was dominated by various tribes, small villages, and bands of raiders and pirates unlike the city-states that dominated northern and central Syara. Scitaria is theorized to have been the birthplace of the Bastarnae, although no concrete evidence exists to support it's claim. Scitaria's status as a loose confederation of tribes resulted in it's conquest by the Makedonian Empire during the reign of Orestes II. Scitaria was a major source of trade revenue for the Empire during Imperial reign, and steadily grew in wealth even after the conquest of Makedon by the Arkoennite Empire. Scitaria's extensive trade revenue made it a starting point for Syara industrialization, and following the collapse of Arkoennite rule the independent Commonwealth of Scitaria was founded in 1721. Although not a major military power, Scitaria's trade with the rest of Tyran allowed it to prosper. Following the Unification of Syara Scitaria continued to modernize, becoming a major industrial region of the young Republic of Syara. Largely untouched by the Divide War, Scitaria benefitted immensely from the post-war boom and economic prosperity, with it's large shipyards and ports becoming the birthplace of the Navy of the Syaran Republic. Like the rest of the Realms Scitaria battled economic uncertainty during the Broken Years. Without it's own Monarchist sentiments, Scitaria became a hotbed for supporters of the Wardens in the 1960s and 70s, and became a major battleground during the Refusal War. Scitaria was officially recognized as one of Syara's four realms following the reorganization of Syara into a Commonality.

Today the Scitarian coastal provinces make it the second wealthiest Realm in Syara. Scitaria remains the centerpiece of Syara's fishing, shipping, and shipbuilding industries, along with it's own competitive industrial base. With a population of 40,880,100, it is the third most populated Realm after Makedon and Galania. The Realm Capital is Slocova, while it's largest city is Moddra.
